10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me
Hey! What is up, my dudes?! Welcome back! How’s your week going? If you saw my recent instagram post, you would know that mine has been a struggle… but nevertheless, God is still good and it’s a new week!
I’m coming at you with yet another post about who I am. Being new to the blogging world, I usually refer to the best teachers of today’s generation – Google and Pinterest. HAHA kidding (Not really though. We can learn everything from those two forums!) I learned that the first few posts should be about who you are and what you’re about so that your followers can connect and get to know you! I promise, my posts will be shorter!!! There is just a lot to be said in the beginning.
It’s pretty cool, actually. There are a lot of people who know me pretty well. I gotta admit, I have such amazing friends. HOWEVER. There are so much people don’t know about me. I am small kine lil bit weird… But I embrace that cause it makes me unique. Embrace your weirdness, fam! I’m about to spill some of that tea! Here are a few things you probably didn’t know about me.

1. I was OBSESSED with Doilies.
Yes… Doillies. You know those ornamental mats that are made of fabric or paper that make food displays look extra fancy? Yes, those things. Don’t ask why cause I have no stinkin’ clue. I thought they were so pretty! I remember going to Bravo’s with my family for dinner and every time we went, I would take the doilies that came with the garlic bread home with me and I just had a mini collection. Also, who else is in love with Bravo’s garlic bread? C’mon man, so good! lol
2. My collections!
Speaking of my weird doily collection, I also use to collect a bunch of other things such as rocks and minerals, dolls, playing cards and Pokémon cards. There was a point in my life that rocks and sediments were the most fascinating thing to me. I had books about different minerals and we even went to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado and it was one of the coolest trips ever. Like every little girl, dolls were a must-have. I wasn’t a barbie kind of girl but I did love bratz and I think between my sister and I, we had about 30 dolls total and we played with each of them equally. We never neglected one. We would always feel bad cause we thought that they would feel left out! Haha! The playing cards were pretty random. Whenever someone traveled, they would bring me back a deck of playing cards from that state because I was determined to have a pack of cards from all 50 states. And Pokémon cards… I mean DUH. I still have all my cards. Pokémon is cool, enough said. Lol! I actually enjoy collecting things so what should I start collecting next?
3. I wanted to be a Roxy model.
I was obsessed with this iconic surfer brand as a little girl, wearing everything Roxy from shirts to slippers to even having stickers and keychains. I was convinced that I would be a pro surfer one day. Not knowing how to surf, this dream was more like a fantasy rather than a reality. I can still learn but eh, maybe! I wanted to be Kelia Moniz, the world champion longboard surfer. But I would LOVE to be a model for Roxy… *wink wink* haha! Someone help a girl out and tag Roxy in this post! Send them some head shots, give them my number! Anything! Lol!
4. My first passion was fashion!
Before singing was even a thought in my head, I wanted to be a fashion designer. My mom and dad would always buy me those toy fashion designer kits from Barbie with stencils, pencils and stickers and I would spend hours drawing. My designs were… alright. I mean… Let’s just say I would NOT have worn those! My parents are awesome though cause they always encouraged me! I still would like to come out with my own clothing line one day. Along with planners, bullet journals, stickers and jewelry! I think that would be fun! What do you think? Should I?
5. I can quote Harry Potter like a pro!
My sister and I are obsessed with Harry Potter. I watched all the movies and I opted to not read the books because those books are super long and ain’t nobody got time for that. I do want to read them all one day though! But Giscelle and I play this game where we start off saying a line from any of the movies in our legit british accents, if I do say so myself, and the other person needs to finish it as well as say what movie it’s from and who said it. It’s kind of cool. I can’t play this game with anyone else beside her! Haha! Sister goals!

Okay, remember how I mentioned I was weird? Here’s why… #DontJudgeMe

6. I use to eat butter like candy…
Yes, you read that right. Super cringe worthy, right?! Gross! My grandma would always buy the stick butter and I would sneak into her refrigerator with my fork and cut a piece of butter and run to the back of the house and hide and eat my butter… just me, myself and I and absolutely no regrets. I don’t even think my parents know about this… Ope. Mom and Dad, if you’re reading this, SORRY! Haha!
7. Nose Picker!
Yes, I was a nose picker. That’s all I’m going to say about this cause I’m definitely NOT proud of that truth. So… let’s move on, shall we?
8. Salmon Lover!
I LOVED EATING SALMON. Particularly the one sold at Costco. Whenever my parents made salmon, I would take my first bite and immediately start singing my little heart out and praised God for the blessing that was salmon.
9. My most memorable nightmare was about Barney.
There was a point in my life that I was afraid of Barney. Remember that iconic purple and green dinosaur that taught us catchy songs and valuable life lessons? Yes! Of course. How can we not? Well, when I was a little girl, I had a dream of that dinosaur and it scared me forever! I dream a lot, and usually they are happy dreams. They are so vivid and realistic and I know for a fact that God talks to me through dreams. It’s pretty cool. This dream in particular was NOT of God. Haha! In my dream, I was playing outside on my grandma’s balcony and out of nowhere, I hear these loud thumping steps coming up the stairs and I hear this low voice singing the, “I love you, you love me…” song! The closer that thing came up the steps, the clearer the voice became and next thing you know, I see this giant Barney coming at me with it’s arms stretched wide trying to hug me. I was super scared and started running around the balcony screaming, “BUT I DON’T LOVE YOU!” and I woke up on the floor of my room. Pretty traumatic moment for me! HAHA! Keep in mind, I was like 6!
10. I’ve never been in love.
This one isn’t weird, it’s just my reality. Love is a crazy thing, isn’t it? There was one moment where I thought I was in love when I was in High School, but after years of maturing a little bit, I realized that that was more of an infatuation that led to heart-break. He was your typical guy who surfed and sang and played guitar like a freakin’ angel. Not to mention he was really cute, too. But things change and people change. Another story for another time. I’ve never had a boyfriend and I’m proud of that because I know that God is saving my first and preparing whoever he is to be my last. It’s exciting to think about! I am a huge advocate for saving yourself for the person you’re gonna spend the rest of your life with. Purity is a passion of mine. It’s nothing to feel condemned about, but more so to help find encouragement in the relentless love God shows us. Surprisingly though, this topic is something people seek advice on a lot. I can’t even tell you how many times people have asked me about relationship advice, purity advice, all that fun stuff. I’ve never even dated and people still come to me for advice… But hey, maybe a future blog post for all you wandering souls who are just like me out there! It’s a struggle, but it’s a beautiful struggle that is worth enduring!

CONGRATS! YOU MADE IT TO THE END!
Moral of the story: Be proud of who you are! Be you and be you BODLY and CONFIDENTLY! You are unique and wonderfully made and it’s your weird, quirky qualities that will set you apart. Don’t be afraid to share who you are with the world! Don’t be embarrassed with your past, don’t hide your present and don’t limit your future! 🙂
But yes! That’s me! Those are 10 things you probably didn’t know about me! Thanks for sticking through and reading the whole thing! Stay tuned for SHORTER posts! Haha!
Until next time!

YES, I’ve only been there once, but the garlic bread from Bravo’s is amazing!!! Haha, my parents are from an older generation than most of my peers’ parents, so I grew up knowing about lace doilies because my mom used to keep them to do crafts with someday. And OMG, I remember when Roxy used to be one of THE most popular brands back in middle school! Man, this post has transported me back… Now, I feel kinda “old”, hehe. And dude, Costco salmon is so good! This post is making me hungry too. 🙂
I loved hearing more about you, thanks for sharing a piece of your beautiful heart, Misha! And, for the record, I actually like your long posts! 🙂

I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.
I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive.
Can you recommend something what works best for you?
Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)
I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon.
P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?
